How much does the central government collect in tax?

Tax revenue (central government), 150 countries & territories. Taxes collected by the central government as a share of GDP (IMF Government Finance Statistics, via World Bank). Social security contributions, fines and the taxes of states, regions and municipalities are not included, so countries that fund pensions and health through contributions, or federal ones (Germany, the United States), look much lower than their total tax burden.
