World Heritage sites, 195 countries & territories. Properties inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List (cultural, natural and mixed), counted per State Party. A transboundary site counts once for every country it spans, so the national totals add up to more than the number of sites. Sovereign countries with no inscribed property count as 0.
